His legal career reflects a steady rise through experience, responsibility, and service—earned not through politics, but through years in the courtroom and the community.

Dedicated to Cape Cod
and the Islands
Michael is a Cape Cod native who graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth High School. He then earned his undergraduate degree from Bentley College before attending Suffolk University Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor. While still in law school, Michael began his service to the Cape and Islands as an intern in the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office in 2010 and 2011. That early experience shaped the course of his career and solidified his commitment to serving the communities of the Cape and Islands.
Experience
After graduating from law school, Michael was appointed Assistant District Attorney in the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office, where he served from 2012 through 2024. Over more than a decade, he prosecuted thousands of cases and worked in nearly every corner of the Cape. His assignments included the Barnstable, Falmouth, Orleans, and Martha’s Vineyard District Courts, as well as the Barnstable Superior Court.
Throughout his career, Michael earned increasing responsibility and leadership roles. He served as a Senior Prosecutor in multiple district courts and was ultimately appointed Chief of the District Courts, overseeing prosecutions, mentoring assistant district attorneys, and helping ensure consistency, fairness, and professionalism across the court system. In Superior Court, Michael handled serious and complex felony cases, bringing experience, preparation, and judgment to matters with life-altering consequences for victims, defendants, and families.

Michael's Promise
Across every role he has held, Michael Giardino has built a reputation for integrity, preparedness, and steady leadership. His career has been defined by service to the community, respect for the rule of law, and an understanding that justice works best when it is fair, consistent, and rooted in the people it serves.
